He attended Box Elder Schools and graduated as Salutatorian from Box Elder in 1997. While attending Box Elder School, Little Dan was a part of the basketball team, football team, track/field (qualified for State in the shot put), student government, National Honor Society, Bears Club, band, and Indian Club.

After high school, Little Dan started his professional career with the original Bear Paw Hotshots Fire Crew. In the 2000s, he worked for Ted Solomon’s fire crew and attended Stone Child College. After completing his fire career, Little Dan moved into the bartending/bouncing career, where he worked at Jitter Bugs for over 10 years and created endless family, friends, and memories.

After Little Dan became sick, he spent the last of his years living life to the fullest as he always did. He spent so much time with his kids, his mother, his sisters, brothers, and so many friends. If Little Dan called you family or a friend, you were one for life.
