It was a strong 2025 debut for the Havre High girls basketball team.
The Blue Ponies were at home on Friday night where they were taking on arch nemesis Hardin at the HHS gymnasium. And in a dominant win, the Blue Ponies beat the Bulldogs 57-38. Head coach Tommy Brown's team played suffocating defense against the pwerrenial Eastern A power, while Ari Gary, among others were outstanding on the offensive end.
The Blue Ponies had no time to rest though as they went on the road on Saturday night, and beat another tough rival in Browning. Havre took care of Browning 56-40 to improve to 7-1 on the season.
Havre will return to the hardwood on Friday night when the Ponies play at Class B powerhouse Malta. HHS then takes on highly-touted Glendive on the road on Saturday night.
