News you can use
I would like to remind everyone about the Innovative Education Program Tax Credit opportunity here at Havre Public Schools. You can get a dollar-to-dollar tax credit for donating up to $200,000 per year for the Havre Public School District. Montana House Bill 279 allows taxpayers to donate up to $200,000 to the public school district of their choice, to support innovative educational programs. Please refer to our website for more information on this program or you can swing by the Robins Administration Building to pick up your form. On January 15th at 1O am, Havre Public Schools will submit all information regarding this opportunity. Please contact Moses Deanon at (406)-395- 8550, ext. 6713 for further details.
Havre Public Schools is in the process of applying, through grant funds, for two more electric buses. Our current electric buses are used for school bus routes only and have been an excellent addition to our fleet. Havre Public Schools has found these buses to be extremely reliable and perform nicely in cold weather. If approved, the two new buses will replace two older route buses.
Havre Public Schools is wrapping up its second year of the new OPI accreditation process. As a part of our accreditation process there is a section titled Graduate Profile. Havre Public Schools hosted a Graduate Profile meeting on January 6th from 5:30-6:30pm in the Banner Room, at Robins. Anyone with questions regarding this event can contact Holly Bitz, Assistant Superintendent, Robins Administration Building.
The Blue Ponies represent our community well when it comes to winter activities. Events for the Ponies resumed January 4th at the Corral. Please see our website or contact Mark Irvin directly at HHS for a complete list of winter activities.
