Blue Ponies, area grinders selected for Shrine Game

A trio of Havre Blue Ponies are head to the annual East-West Shrine Game this summer.

Last week, Havre's Tate Nelson, Tre Gary and Colter Solomon were named to the East squad fo the 2025 Shrine Game. Nelson was selected as a running back after earning Class A All-State honors for the Ponies this season, while Gary, also an All-State performer, will play defensive back for the East in the annual all-star game, Solomon will also play defensive back for the East after earning All-State accolades and helping the Ponies reach the Class A semifinals.

The Havre trio will be joined by Box Elder's Tracen Jilloot, who was selected as a wide receiver. Jillott and the Bears won the Six-Man state championship last fall.

The head coach for the East will be Nick Oxarart, who coached Malta to a State B title back in November.

The 78th annual East-West Shrine Game will be held in Great Falls at Memorial Stadium. It kicks off on June 21 at 7 p.m.
