Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation Challenged with $50,000 Match Grant

Press release

The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation are extremely excited to announce that another donor has come forth with a Challenge Grant to the Community! The Browning Kimball Foundation has so graciously pledged $50,000 towards the Chinook Pool Project if we can raise $50,000 in match funds from individuals, businesses, community and civic groups, local governments or through fundraising projects or events. The Browning Kimball Foundation has set a timeline to have the funds raised of September 1st, 2025.

The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation are so thankful for the Browning Kimball Foundation for their amazing support through this match grant and they are excited to challenge the community of Chinook and beyond to match this incredible grant. We are hopeful that this donation will help finish the Pool project and provide much needed updates to the Chinook Pool through Phase A which is scheduled to start August 1st, 2025. The Foundation is currently $30,000 short of their goal of completing Phase A, the rehabilitation of the Chinook City Pool.

If you have it in your heart to help finish this phase of the project and match their goal of $50,000, your donations will be completely tax deductible as the Foundation is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

For anyone interested in making a donation, they can be made on the Foundation’s website here at https://www.chinookfriends.org/donations, or you can drop off your donation at First Bank of Montana in Chinook. Donations can also be mailed to: Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation at PO Box 785, Chinook, MT 59523. Thank you for the support of this very important part of Chinook.
