Pony wrestling shows well at CMR Holiday Classic

The Havre High wrestling teams had one last tournament in 2024.

Last weekend, the Blue Ponies traveled to Great Falls for the CMR Holiday Classic. The HHS boys finished 16th out of more than 50 teams with 86 points. The HHS girls also scored 45.5 point6s in the prestigious tournament.

Havre junior Tommy Lewis was one of two Blue Ponies to reach the podium. Lewis finished second at 285 pounds, while Matt Lemer placed sixth at 132 pounds.

On the girls side, Jazmyn Were placed fifth for the Ponies at 170 pounds, while Havre also got a 7th-place finish from McKenna Caplette and also a 7th-place finish by Isabella Cowan at 100 pounds.

The Blue Ponies return to action with a trip to Sidney on Jan. 4.
