Pony swimmers compete in Great Falls

It was two more times in the water for the Havre High boys and girls swim teams. Last weekend, the Blue Ponies competed in a pair of meets in Great Falls.

Last Friday, Havre raced in the annual Great Falls Pre Relay Meet. The Pony girls placed fifth overall out of nine teams with 123 points. The Pony boys took fourth overall with 167 points.

Top finishers for Havre included, Daniel Tilleman, who won the boys 50 freestyle, Brocton Elliott, who placed sixth in the books 100 butterfly, while Tilleman added a third place in the 100 free. 

Lilliana Smith finished fifth for Havre in the 500 free, while Koby Preputin finished fifth for the boys in the 500 free. Preputin added a sixth place in the 100 backstroke, while Ainsely Courtnage took sixth int he 100 breatstroke, and Dentin DiPriest took third in the body 100 breaststroke.

Havre also scored plenty of points in the relay events on Friday before taking part in the fun, relay-only meet last Saturday in Great Falls.

The HHS swimmers return to the pool Jan. 4 with the Havre Invitational.
