HHS boys basketball splits in Billings

The Havre High boys basketball team wrapped up the 2024 portion of their schedule with a 1-1 performance at the East-West Showdown last weekend in Billings.

Last Friday, the Blue Ponies took down the Hamilton Broncs, 58-53 behind a game-high 24 points from senior Tre Gary. Matt Huse added 14 points.

Looking for the weekend sweep, the Ponies came up just short against highly-touted Butte Central on Saturday. The Maroons edged the Ponies 52-50. Tre Gary finished the contest with 16 points to lead the Ponies, while Matt Huse went for 11 points.

The Pony boys will return to action on Jan. 4 when they host the Laurel Locomotives. Havre is currently 4-2 on the young season.
