Northern wrestlers fall at Southern Oregon

In a tough Cascade Conference road dual, the Montana State University-Northern Lights came up short earlier this week.

Northern lost to rival Southern Oregon 32-16 on Thursday night in Ashland, Oregon.

SOU won six straight matches to start the dual, before the Lights got a victory from Travis Waldner at 165 pounnds. Devin Crawford also won at 174, before Rylin Burns was upset at 184. Austin Vanek (197) and Shane Mattson (285) posted wins for the Lights to close out the dual.

Northern is back on the mat at the Reno Tournament of Champions this weekend.
