The Havre High swim teams finally dove into the pool against other schools last weekend. Havre attuned the Flathead December Invitational last Saturday in Kalispell.
In the team competition, the Havre boys took sixth place with 86 points, while the HHS girls were seventh with 100 points.
Individually the HHS boys saw Brockton Elliot came in fifth in the 200 freestyle, posting a time of 2:06.51. He also finished fourth in the 100 butterfly, coming in at 1:02.55. Dentin DePreist swam a 2:20.80 200 IM, good for fourth place. The Pony boys' placed sixth in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:55.66.
On the girls side, Olivia Erickson finished fifth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:28.21. Ainsley Courtnage was sixth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 28.34. Liliana Smith had the best individual finish of any Blue Pony swimmer with a 6:29.22 500 freestyle. In the girls' 200 freestyle relay, Havre came in sixth with a time of 2:07.09.
Havre will wrap up the 2024 portion of its schedule with the Great Falls Pre Relay Meet on Friday and the Bob McKinnon Memorial Relay at 9am on Saturday.
