Grief poem - Partings come ...

Partings do come, as loved ones leave, many hearts are broken.

When loved ones go, its lonely here - many words unspoken.

We want to remember dear ones - the bond that we did share,

But the pain in our hearts and minds, it is so hard to bear.

May the winds of love blow softly and whisper so you'll hear.

We will always love and miss you, and wish that you were here.

The memory gates will never close, the days that used to be

How rich in kindness, love and care, how dear you were to me.

Lonely is home without you dear, some day, I know not when ...

To clasp your hand and in better lands, we'll never part again.

All this world would be like Heaven to have you back again.

It's lonely here without you dear, my life is not the same.

If memories bring us closer dear, we're never far apart;

For you are always in my thoughts and forever in my heart.

At Church last week, three empty seats, one ill, two flew above.

We're born to die, God calls us home, we'll go 'back home' in LOVE!

A special star - so very bright, it's time to say good night.

We'll close our eyes; wish you were here - wish you sweet dreams tonight.

Oh, Father, God, we're sad[1] and blue, and we are growing old.

But young or old, when YOU call us, off we go where streets are gold.
