The Salvation Army welcomed another holiday season last Friday with the kickoff of the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army Havre Service Center Director Trina Crawford said they are "in need of bellringers".
"I highly encourage the community to support our local Salvation Army. They do so much charitable work... and it's so crucial they have the support from the community," Hill County Commissioner Sheri Williams said, "Hopefully we will get record amounts during the upcoming holiday season."
"I definitely support Salvation Army because I've seen all the work that they do and I love that so much of the money stays right here helping a neighbor that we probably all know," City Council member Sarah McKinney said, "Keep your pocket change handy, and be ready to donate wherever you see a little box or a big kettle."
Bellringers will be outside locations including Gary and Leo's Fresh Foods with the donation bucket from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week, except for Sundays.
The Salvation Army needs volunteer bell ringers from Nov. 16 to Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday in Havre.
