The Hill County Attorney's Office is proud to present the second annual 2024 Domestic Violence Awareness Award to Trina Crawford, director of The Salvation Army Service Center in Havre.
The Domestic Violence Awareness Award acknowledges the outstanding efforts and contributions of individuals who assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Crawford was nominated by Heather MacLean, who said. "Trina works tirelessly serving victims of crime, including domestic violence, in the Havre community. She is always willing to provide a hotel room and other services for victim who need emergency services, often in the middle of the night."
MacLean said she believes that Crawford deserves the 2024 Domestic Violence Awareness Award for her non-judgmental demeanor and willingness to serve regardless of external circumstances.
"Trina understands that victims often have other concerns such as legal trouble, difficult personalities, drug and alcohol addictions and complex trauma," MacLean said.
Crawford has been working with The Salvation Army since 2005 and runs the Reintegration Into Society Program, assisting people with addiction to find sobriety and safe housing.
The Hill County Attorney's Office recognizes Trina's dedication to serving victims in Hill County and the positive effect she has on the community.
