"Always the Wind" book update discussion set

Press release

The possibility of updating the book “Always the Wind” will be discussed at a meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at “The Bridge” at 2:00pm. “The Bridge” is located at 586 Bullhook Drive SE. All interested neighbors, descendants and friends are invited.

“Always the Wind” is a book written in 1975 about the homesteaders in the St. Joe area north of Havre from the town north to the Canadian border. The writers worked tirelessly to contact as many descendants of the original homesteaders as possible. It truly is a treasure worth cherishing for many generations to come.

Following the recent update of “In the Years Gone By” about the homesteaders in the Cottonwood and Simpson areas, there has been some discussion about the possibility of doing the same with “Always the Wind”. Those who have visited about this always conclude with, “We need to do this before we lose even more history.”

If you have questions or cannot attend, please feel free to call Ila McClenahan at 406-398-5330.
