Polls closed in Montana

The Associated Press at 8 p.m. Mountain Time called the Montana gubernatorial race for incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte.

Gianforte faced Democratic challenger Ryan Busse, a former gun company executive.

AP also called the presidential race in the state for Republican former President Donald Trump.

The polls have closed in Montana and the results of the 2024 election in the state soon will be known.
