The Havre High boys and girls golf teams took part in the Class A State Tournament last Friday and Saturday at the Mission Bay Club in Polson.
After 36 holes in excellent fall weather, the Havre High boys finished in 8th place overall with a team score of 888.
Individually, senior Matt Huse paced the Ponies with rounds of 87-83, which was just outside the Top 20. Quinn Elliott finished with rounds of 87-94, while Callen Stoner and Nooah Barrett each shot 92-95 for the Pony boys.
The Havre High girls shot 888 over the two-day tournament which was also eighth place overall.
Tierra Parker had an outstanding tourney for the Ponies, shooting 99-96, which was just five strokes out of the Top 15. Callie Bebee finished at 106-108, Lilliana Smith shot 118-120 and Madison Reber shot 118-123 for head coach Dennis Murphy's team.
Laurel won the boys team title, while Billings Central was second and Corvallis was third. On the girls side, Central won the team title, with Whitefish finishing second and Frenchtown third.
