News you can use

Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

God knows our names

You know, Lord, just read a bit of praise by an unknown author, stating that we are all important, because we are God's creations and Christ loved us enough to die for us. It reminds readers that You, Lord, know our names and that You hold us fast in Your love. It also stated that when we appreciate the people God make us to be, we don't need the hollow honor the world offers. Oh, Father, thank You for Your unconditional love. It is much more satisfying than any honor any one of us can ever receive from others.

A friend shared that while browsing through some books at the library, she ran across some e. e. cummings poetry [Edward Estlin "E. E." Cummings- 1894-1962]. A friend had mentioned this poetry, years back; she was surprised to read one of his quotes: "It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are!"

Sally gave that some serious thought as to who she really was. She mentioned that we all seek heroes and try to imitate others, pasting bits and pieces of other people onto ourselves, we learn some by imitating others. The good news was that though hard for her [or any of us] to accept, was that God created her - and us - to just be our best self - that is who we really are!

Her friend, Bill, added: "The book of Acts invites everyone to trust Him, for "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (ACTS 4:12)."

Sally added, "Read Psalm 139:13-14, 'For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!'. "It's great that OUR FATHER knows each one of us by name! We Thank You, LORD!"

Love, Mara.
