City shop water closing to public with bulk water station again working

Havre Daily News Staff

Havre Public Works announced that, with the bulk water station by Lions Park on 16th Avenue again up and running, the water fill station at the City Shop Complex will not be available to public users after this week.

It will be closed to public users after Friday, Oct. 4, a release said.

“Since our new Bulk Water Fill station is up and running, and things are going very well, we will be closing down fill access at the City Shop as of Friday, Oct. 4,” a release said.

The 16th Avenue Bulk Water Station is available 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, the notice said.

Users must provide their own 2-inch hose to connect and fill at the station.

The credit card reader is available with a 5% service fee if users have not set up a prepaid account.

People can set up a prepaid account at Havre City Hall during regular business hours.

“Again we thank you for your patience during this process, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community to the best of our ability with this new station,” a press release said.
