Blue Pony football wins at home in busy week for Pony sports

The Havre High fall sports teams had another good week of sports.

Last week saw the Havre High cross country team head to the Lewistown Invitational where the HHS girls finished fifth with a team score of 153. The Pony girls were led any Hailey Gingery who finished the race in 21:13.54. Chinook's Neva Lowe also finished I the Top 15. On the boys side in Lewistown, Havre finished with a team score of 268. Mason Gregoire posted a Top 15 finish with a time of 18:12.65.

Last Friday also saw the Havre High football team grab a dominant, 27-8 win over Glendive at Blue Pony Stadium. The Havre High defense had a stellar showing for head coach Jake Eldridge's team, as the Ponies improved to 2-2 on the young season.

The HHS volleyball team was in Lewistown last Friday to take on the Eagles in a Northeast A match. But the Blue Ponies fell to Lewistown by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-16.

It's another big week for Havre High athletics as the Ponies celebrate homecoming. Havre football hosts Lockwood on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Blue Pony Stadium, while the HHS volleyball team is home to play Glendive Saturday afternoon at the HHS gymnasium. The Pony cross country team takes to the road to run in the Missoula Invitational on Saturday.
