Havre golfers score well in Helena; Huse places first

The Havre High golf teams got to play an extra meet this past week, as the Blue Ponies traveled to Helena on Tuesday to play at the East Helena Tournament.

And led by a career round from senior Matt Huse, the Blue Ponies were outstanding at Fox Ridge Golf Course.

Huse, who is having a stellar season for the Ponies, shot a career best 73, which won the individual tournament, while the boys shot a 330. Noah Barrett added a 84 for Havre, while Callen Stoner shot 86, Evan Alisch 87 and Quinn Elliott 95.

The Havre girls finished with a 442 team score, paced by Tierra Parker's outstanding 96. Lillianna Smith shot 112, Calllie Bebee 116 and Madison Reber 118 for the HHS girls.

Havre is playing at the Billings Invitational later today.
