Grief Poem - 'A Time to Leave'

Two more folks left just recently, no more on earth to roam.

One young, one old- their jobs were done; God called to the: "Come Home!"

Down here we're weak, but we'll be strong, all in our Savior's Love,

Then 'grandma Jill'- she also left to meet family above.

It seems like it is leaving time as young and old leave us.

Our Cornerstone is Christ alone, we'll fly to Him - no fuss.

Won"t it be fun to visit 'kin' when our turn comes to leave?

Our 'ancestors' and others too: Jesus, Adam and Eve?!

God made us all - sent us down here: parents: Father and son:

Mother and girls, He loves us all: He'll call us when works done.

When kinfolk leave, our hearts feel broke, seems darkness hides His face.

Our hope is built on nothing less - we rest in His pure grace.

We're lonely Lord, our dear one left! We've no one to talk too.

They helped a lot with many things, not much they couldn't do.

Their life on earth, they left it ll, reminding us of them.

The odds and ends they left behind - to us, a precious gem.

We're born to die, the Good Book says, our Lord has set 'that dare';

He's watching us; "IT'S TIME TO LEAVE" - He'll call, we won't be late!

Some 'kin' liked Roman, chapter eight - verse 39(1) the best!

No 'separation' would occur - in Christ Jesus we find rest.

Loved ones flew off to Heavenly Home, they've met Jesus above!

When our 'work's' down here on earth, we'll fly that way in LOVE.
