Havre runners off to a good start

The Havre High boys and girls cross country teams spend the 2024 season at last week's Billings Invitational. Amongst a big field of teams, including much of Class AA, the Pony girls finished sixth and the HHS boys were 19th.

On the girls side, Hailey Gingery led the Ponies with a 22:45.3, followed by Paige Anderson at 23:36.8, Sarah Bachmeier, 24.28.7, Gracie Shandorf at 25.53.2, Ela Harbor in 26:10.0, and Ariel Out at 29.25.5.

The Havre boys were led by Mason Gregoire, who ran an outstanding 17:56.3. Brayden Nimmick ran a 21:25.1, and Koby Preputin ran a 22.25.8.

The Blue Pony harriers return to action this Saturday at the Flathead Invitational.
