Bob was born February 1, 1941, in Lewistown to Walter and Olga (Logeland) Berg, the second of four children. When he was five, the family moved to Havre where Bob attended school, graduating from Havre High School in 1960.

He soon entered the US Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1963. At that time, Bob returned to Havre, where he met Deanna McLeod. The two married in Houston, TX, in 1964, and soon after had two sons.

For the majority of his career, Bob worked as a lineman for Montana Power, retiring in 1997. Soon after, he realized that retired life was not for him, so he began driving truck for various companies just to keep busy.

Bob was a kind, loving, quiet man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and bowling. His favorite pastime was restoring his 1964 Chevrolet Impala convertible. Bob was a family man who adored his family. Spending time with them was priceless for him, and he doted on his children, grandchildren, and his great-grand-fur-children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Olga Berg; sister, Donna Jean Berg; in-laws Bob and Jackie McLeod, and his precious fur baby, Teddy.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna Berg of Havre; sons, Gary (Tammie) Berg of Helena and Bob (Cindy) Berg Jr. of Great Falls; seven grandchildren, Jaylee Berg and Brandi (Austin) Kindred, all of Sand Coulee, Emily Berg of Great Falls, Mallory (Jay) Joiner, Mitchell Cresswell, and Kelsey Cresswell, all of Helena, and Landis Cresswell, of Havre; 7 great-grandchildren; in-laws Jim and Carla Marden of Centralia, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
