Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

Reunion time

You know, Lord, Cindy shared how her grandma sometimes grumbled; "Hey! It's Family Reunion Time. I'm ready for some hugs, cake and ice cream." Cindy added: 'Our family would giggle and wonder, Grandma, where were you last month when we have a fun time with a meal and laughter. We didn't say that out loud but, we all thought it, I'm sure.'

Ginger commented that Auntie Beth always loved reunion time because she'd be introduced to some young guys who were her niece's boyfriends; she loved how her family shared togetherness like none of her neighbors did.

Lula mentioned that her siblings didn't live nearby - but once "Reunion Time" was mentioned, they did their best to show up as they also loved fondness, grandparents, history, hugs, kin, joy and laughter.

Randy added: "I read a blurb about how we are to acknowledge God in everything. I sure thought about that when we finally got a bit of rain the other day, even though it is summer; I remembered Hosea 6:3: "Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring." I, for sure, did thank God for the rain, the lovely dawn and beautiful sunset I saw the other night, and of course Family Reunion time.

Andy added, "Hey, Grandma, thanks for your Chocolate Cake recipe, Cindy is delighted to copy you; reminds me that our hope is really in the Lord, we're all his kids - He loves all of us just as we, as we here, love each other. I also like Psalm 121:8: "The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go ..."

Randy said: "Can we even imagine what our Family Reunion will be like when to fly up to be with Jesus and get to be with all the rest of our kin?"

Love Mara
