Salvation Army taking applications for back-to-school program

Applications are being taken by the Havre Salvation Army for school supplies and backpacks for low-income families in the Havre area, Havre schools grades kindergarten through 8.

Applications area being taken from July 8 through Aug. 12.

Familes in need of basic school supplies can call 406-265-6411, email [email protected] or [email protected], or come into the office at 328 Third Street.

Distribution time will be given during the application process.

Documents needed during the application are:

• Picture ID from adult filling out form

• Social Security Cards or birth certificates for every family member

• Proof of residency

• Proof of income or need

• Teacher’s name is helpful

All information is confidential.

People, companies or churches can help by donating school supplies or money to purchase school supplies to help with the back to school program.

• 4 oz. and 8 oz. white school glue

• Glue sticks

• Highlighters 3 pack

• Colored pencils

• #2 pencils Not Dixon

• Crayons 24 count

• Markers-washable cone-tip

• Markers-washable small

• 1 subject wide ruled notebooks

• Erasers pink

• 5 subject notebook

• 2 pocket folders with prongs

• Dry erase markers

• Zipper binder

• Pointed student scissors
