Man sought in connection with shooting death on Rocky Boy

Rocky Boy Police are looking for a man they want to speak to about a shooting death on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation early Monday morning.

The Rocky Boy Police Department posted an official release on their Facebook Page Thursday that said the department is looking for Gordon Denny Jr., 29, to talk to about the shooting.

The name of the shooting victim was not listed in the press release.

No one was available to talk to the Havre Weekly Chronicle in calls starting Tuesday asking about the incident, and the Chronicle was referred to the release on the Facebook page this morning.

The release said officers were dispatched about 5:39 a.m. Monday after a 911 call reported a man in the Country View Village area of the reservation had been shot.

The first officers on the scene found a man who had been shot and killed.

The release said Rocky Boy police and the FBI are actively investigating the shooting. The motive and circumstances still are under investigation, the release said.

The release said anyone with information about the shooting or where they can find Denny is asked to call 406-395-4513.

Denny is considered armed and dangerous and people should not approach him if he is seen but call the police immediately, the release said.
