Hot nights at the Great Northern Ram Rodeo

It was a scorcher during the annual Great Northern Fair, and it was plenty hot inside the arena on Thursday and Friday night as the Great Northern RAM NRA Rodeo was held.

Cowboys and cowgirls from all over came to Havre for two funs nights of rodeo action with big Northern Rodeo Association points on the line.

The winners of the rodeo included Helena’s Spur Owens with a score of 79 in the Bareback Riding. Libby’s Jason Colclough won the Saddle Bronc Riding with a 75, while Helena’s Caleb Oshea won the Bull Riding with a score of 74. 

Helena’s Austin Whitehouse won the Steer Wrestling with a time of 4.6, while Hobson’s Carson Stevenson was first in the Tie-Down Roping with a time of 11.5. Harlem’s Ty Kittson was second.

In Team Roping, Brad Yerian and Brandon Nicholls won the Team Roping with a time of 5.6, while Box Elder’s Cameron and Colt Billy were third. 

Red Bluff’s Nina Moore won the Ladies Barrell Racing in 16.06, while Chinook’s Paige Raty was sixth. And in the Ladies Breakaway, Helena’s Shanda Armstrong was first.
