Havre Junior Rodeo a success once again

To kick off the Great Northern Fair night shows, the annual Havre Junior Rodeo was held last Wednesday night at the Great Northern Fairgrounds Arena.

Starting with age 4-8, Hagen Huestis finished first in the flag racing with a time of 10.54. In barrel racing, Ethan Roberts was the winner at 22.17. Ethan also won the goat untie at 9.4 seconds. Piper Roberts finished first in pole bending, in 26.32. For sheep riding, Aylah Hipple came out with the victory and a time of 8.47.

In the 9-13 age group, pole bending saw Claire Buck take the win with a time of 26.66. In the flag race, Willow Henke.. Henke also won the goat tying contest in13.54. The breakaway roping was won by Lane Wicks in 2.27 seconds.

In the high school age group of 14-18, Ty Kittson won the breakaway roping, in 2.46 seconds. He also did the tie down roping in 14.34 seconds, Laynee Simpson won the pole bending contest with a time of 23.19. In the barrel racing, Teona Funk had a 17.96 and took home the win. Monkey on the Rope was won by Wyatt Boyce and Cassidy Leeds, who finished with a time of 33.32 in a close results race. Kyla Burchard won the goat tying in 9.49 seconds, dominated team roping with Kittson in 8.9 seconds, got third in the Monkey on a Rope with Aislinn Handy, and finished third in the pole bending.
