To end the regular season, the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball team won four straight games at home.
It was a big senior day for Havre, as on Friday night, the Northstars swept the Northern A Great Falls Chargers in a doubleheader at Legion Field.
Havre won game one 10-0 behind senior Terek Shipp's outstanding performance on the mound. He threw a four-hit shutout and also drove in a run at the plate.
The Northstars also dominated game two, 14-3. Havre scored four times in the bottom of the first inning. They scored three times in the second, three times in the third, and five times in the fourth after allowing three in the top of the inning.
The Northstars then closed out the regular season with a sweep of the tai-county Cardinals on Sunday at Legion Field.
Havre won game one 1-0, as Tanner DeLarosa pitched a four-hit shutout. DeLarosa also drove in Tyson Brandon for the only run of the game.
The Northstars completed the sweep with a 7-3 win in game two. Ezra Pyle and Terek Shipp were leaders at the plate for the Northstars, while Quinn Elliott shut down the Cardinals in the final innings.
The Northstars finished the regular season at 26-21 and will play in the Northern District Tournament Thursday-Sunday in Lethbridge.
