From Tee to Green: Rotary Blast is a hit yet again

One of the biggest tournament of the summer golf season took place last weekend at Prairie Farms Golf Course.

The Rotary Blast Tournament was held last Sunday. The long-standing tournament features a modified stableford scoring system where points are awarded for eagles, birdies, pars and bogeys.

The father-son duo of Shane and Shane Patacsil Jr. were the overall champions of the tournament, which was an 18-hole extravaganza on Sunday. Congrats guys!

I'd also like to take the time to thank the Rotary Club, and folks like Jim Kato, Doug Sheppard and others who do so much for local golf in Havre. As someone who participated in that event for many years, it means a lot to see so many people work so hard for local golf. Thank you all.

There was no league golf over the Holiday Weekend.

Currently in men's league golf at Prairie Farms, Montana Outfitting Co. was leading Tuesday night and D.A. Davidson was in first place on Wednesday night. Independence Bank was in first place in Ladies League.

At Beaver Creek Golf Course, Team Ollie is in first place in Scramble League, while Koeford leads Monday night men's league and Cavaliers leads the Thursday night standings.
