Fire again hits Midtown Car Care Center

13 years to the day after reopening from a fire, another fire devastated Midtown Car Care Center in North Havre.

Havre Fire Department's media report said the fire department responded at 2:41 the morning of Friday, July 5.

Janet Robinson, bookkeeper and office manager for Midtown Car Care Center said no one was hurt, and the house next door where she and owner-operator Mike Breum live was saved without damage.

She said the business, which started in its current location in 1992, also burned 13 1/2 years ago, and had a grand reopening July 5, 2011, bigger and better than ever before.

They still are available for towing, jump starts and getting people into locked cars - all of the equipment for that was outside of the structure, Robinson said.

The number for the business, 406-265-5475, has been rerouted to their home to take calls.

She said they plan to fully reopen the business, but, at this time, don't know when that will be.

Robinson said they also will be contacting all of their customers in the coming days as they can about work that was scheduled.
