Letter to the Editor - Thanks for helping The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army-Havre Service Center would like to thank the community of Havre for the success of their Advisory Committee’s fundraiser “One Great Week of Helping the Salvation Army.”

The fundraiser was able to raise over $9,000 during the week of May 12th -May 18th. We started the week out on Sunday when First Lutheran Church held a special offering where the proceeds came to the Salvation Army.

The following businesses took a day and donated part of their sales to The Salvation Army-Havre Service Center. Cavaliers, Montana Country Boutique, Beaver Creek Perk, Taco John’s (Crunch for a Cause) and Bob’s Greenhouse.

The Elks had a Bingo night where all proceeds came to the Salvation Army.

There were also individuals that donated directly to TSA-HSC as part of this fund aiser.

Please be sure to thank these businesses for their participation in this fundraiser.

We will be doing this fundraiser annually and are looking for business that would like to participate next year. This fundraiser will be during National Salvation Army Week 2025 May 11th through May 18th.

If you are interested in participating, please contact an advisory committee member. Members are Ed Matter, Chris Richards, Carilla French, Kim Cripps, Ryan Pearson, Edna Ball, Judy Goodwin, Heather MacLean, Phillip Ruiz, Sarah McKinney.
