There isn't much Marc Mariani hasn't achieved, even in retirement. Last year he was inducted into the Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame.
Last weekend, it was another induction for the former Havre Blue Pony star. Mariani was inducted into the Montana Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024. The class included his former Griz teammate Chase Reynolds, as well as UM's Matt Clark, Montana State's Mark McGrath and former Kalispell and Arizona State star Brock Osweiler.
Mariani's history as a football player in the Treasure State is well-documented. He starred at Havre High through 2005, where he helped the Blue Ponies to the Class A state championship in the fall of 2004. He was a two-way All-State player twice before walking on at Montana.
With the Griz, Mariani exploded his junior year and became the school's all-time leading receiver and an FCS All-American as a WR and punt returner. Ultimately Mariani was drafted by the Tennessee Titans and became a Pro Bowl kick returner in 2010.
