VA invites veterans to Summer Vet Fest in Glasgow

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Montana VA Health Care System has invited veterans to a special event in Glasgow.

The two-day Montana VA Summer Vet Fest is set June 26-27 in Glasgow.

A poster fo the event said veterans can come to the event to find out what VA can do for them, getting answer to VA benefits and health care questions and learning more about VA services and veteran resources.

Day One, June 26, is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glasgow VA Clinic at 630 Second Ave. South, with topics including My HealtheVet, eligibility and enrollment, toxic exposure screening and more.

Day Two, June 27, is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cottonwood Inn at 54250 U.S. Highway 2. Its topics include homelessness/HUD and Veterans Affairs Supporting Housing, eligibility and enrollment, Patient-Aligned Care Team social work, Veterans Benefits Administration, peer support, community partners and more.

The poster also says veterans can learn more about what the PACT Act, which expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances, means for their VA benefits and health care.
