Local preps play well in All-Star football games

A slew of local football players from the Hi-Line were in action this past weekend in the Six-Man and 8-Man All-Star games.

In the 27th annual Montana Six-Man All-Star Game Saturday night in Custer, Chester-Joplin-Inverness’ Adam Grammar scored a rushing touchdown and teammate Pat Dahlin caught a score as they helped Team Red to a 60-24 win over Team Blue. Big Sandy’s Layne Demontiney and Sam Cox were also part of Ream Red while CJI head coach Jim Vinson was on the coaching staff.

Meanwhile, in Butte Saturday night, another pair of local standouts helped their team get an all-star win. In the Bob Cleverly 8-Man All-Star game, Fort Benton’s Cade Ball scored a touchdown and Chinook’s Jackson Norboe was a defensive catalyst as the Blue Team, featuring many players from the Northern C, beat the Red Team 48-24.
