Hill County Justice Court relocating temporarily

Office will be in Timmons Room, court proceedings will be held in the detention center courtroom during work on the courthouse

Press release

The office of the Hill County Justice of the Peace announced last week some relocations and possible temporary disruption of service due to work on the Hill County Courthouse.

A press release said that, due to replacement of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system on the second and third floors of the Hill County Courthouse, Hill County Justice Court of Record will be temporarily relocated until further notice.

The office will be moving the week of May 20, 2024, to the Timmons Conference Room in the basement of the Hill County Courthouse, the release said.

"We hope to be settled in that location with phones and computers no later than Friday, May 24, 2024," the release continued. "We may have interrupted service to the public in person and by phone during this period. If you do call, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible."

Commencing Tuesday, May 28, 2024, all court proceedings, including initial appearances, will be held in the Justice Court Courtroom located at the Hill County Detention Center, 1450 Second Street West, Havre, MT 59501. There will be no court held at the Hill County Courthouse after that date until further notice.

"Please make sure you note this change if you need to visit our office for any reason or if you have any Court proceeding currently scheduled or that may be scheduled in the future," the release said, adding, "We apologize in advance for any inconvenience."
