Was closed temporarily in connection to boil advisory, taking action to reduce chance of illness
Havre Community Pool announced it has been cleared by the Hill County Health Department to re-open.
The pool had been closed as part of the investigation of an outbreak of the illness Giardia caused by water-born parasites that has led to a boil advisory in the city of Havre as a precaution to avoid illness.
A post on the pool’s Facebook page said increased chlorine addition will be used to reduce the chance of contact with active Giardia and the pool will be closed any time new water is added.
Due to staff shortages and scheduled private parties, a post on the pool Facebook page says, no open swim will be available this weekend, May 4-5.
