MSU-N Rodeo Teams finish the season in Missoula

The Montana state University-Northern Rodeo Team closed out the 2023-24 spring season at the University of Montana rodeo over the weekend in Missoula.

Northern had cowboys and cowgirls at the top when it came to the averages. Senior Garrett Cunningham padded his stats in the saddle bronc, taking the crown with a score of 148. Senior Mikenna Schauer finished in a dead heat for second in the goat tying competition at 15.1 seconds. Junior Jill Marcenko had a second place finish in barrel racing, completing it in 36.46.

It was a good night overall for the Skylights rodeo team, which finished second in the team competition as well as second throughout the course of the regular season. 

MSU-Northern rodeo qualifiers will head to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming in June.
