The Montana State University-Northern rodeo teams completed their second week of the spring season when the Lights and Skylights competed in the Miles Community College Rodeo last weekend in Miles City.
In the first rodeo, the Lights and Skylights were sharp.
In the women's all-around, senior Mikenna Schauer ended up finishing first with a score of 185. Schauer was also second place in the goat tying, coming in 13.7 seconds. Senior Garrett Cunningham was the average winner in the saddle bronc, scoring 123 points in his rides.
Other Lights and Skylights to place included, senior Ethan Frasier in fifth in the bareback riding competition, scoring 53/1. Junior Jill Marcenko did the barrel racing in 28.29 seconds and also finished fifth. Schauer competed with Gavin McLean in team roping and the pair took sixth, going 6.9/1.
The MSU-N Rodeo teams head to Missoula for the University of Montana Rodeo to wrap up the spring season.
