Havre Police Department

Someone stopped at the police station Friday at 10:22 a.m. for assistanc with a sexual or violent offender registry issue.

Officers were asked Friday at 1:45 p.m. to perform a firearms check at a Montana Avenue business.

--

Child Protective Services made a report involving sexual offenses Friday at 1:54 p.m.

--

Officers made an investigation during a welfare check on Beaver Creek Boulevard at 4:44 p.m. Friday.

--

A First Street Northeast caller reported Friday at 11:36 p.m. that someone had tried to break into the caller's apartment, and officers searched for but couldn't find the individual.

A Saturday 3:13 p.m. caller reported catching a man inside the caller's car and having to drag the person out. Responding officers searched for but couldn't find the individual.

Thayne Kaycee Jerome Wolfchild of Missoula, 18, was arrested on charges of minor in possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and on a Justice or City court warrant, and Ryan Leonard Bahr of Havre, 34, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a Saturday 3:42 a.m. caller on 15th Avenue reported a man pounding on the caller's door.

A written or verbal warning was issued after callers at 12:45 p.m. Saturday reported a disturbance involving a drunk man on Second Street.

Malcolm David Mitchell of Box Elder, 26, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show reported at 8 p.m. Saturday at the police station.

Officers investigated a complaint made Saturday at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business Saturday at 8:16 p.m.

Austin Daniel Bacon of Montana, 46, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and open container violation during a vehicle stop on First Street at 2:31 a.m. Sunday.

Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity with male walking on First Street Sunday at 2:39 a.m.

--

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Sunday 1:19 p.m. caller reported three people entering the east side of an abandoned building on 11th Street West.

--

A possible water main break reported on McKinley Avenue at 2:09 p.m. Sunday was referred to public works.

--

A vehicle crash at 5th Avenue and First Street was reported at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A 9:48 a.m. Friday caller reported being attacked by three dogs on County Road 462 West.

A woman turned herself in on a warrant at Hill County Detention Center Friday at 12:57 p.m.

--

A hit and run crash at U.S. Highway 2 and County Road 50 South reported Friday at 2:15 p.m. was referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

--

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported at 3:57 p.m. Friday at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

--

Deputies initiated an investigation during a vehicle stop in Box Elder at 7:46 a.m. Saturday.

--

An arrest was made after a Saturday 9:27 p.m. caller reported an intoxicated man bothering customers at a Box Elder establishment. No details on charges were provided.

Vandalism was reported Sunday at 8:41 a.m. on Fifth Street North.

Lyndon Byron Buffalo of Box Elder, 34, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a complaint was reported about two possibly intoxicated men hitchhiking along U.S. Highway 87 Sunday at 10:56 a.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Friday, two calls Saturday and three calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a Friday 9:16 a.m. report of a gas leak on the 10 Block of 13th Street West, an 11:13 a.m. Sunday call about a fire alarm activation on the 800 Block of Fourth Street and a 7:57 p.m. Sunday report of a grass fire on the 3500 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East. No one was made available to provide details on the fire calls.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter list was not available this morning, but last week the shelter held two 12-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, five female cats, three male cats and a 23-week-old male kitten.

Also last week, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 11 weeks and 7 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd-cross dog. Additionally, five 12-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
