Havre Police Department

An 11th Street West caller made a complaint about a vehicle at 7:35 a.m. Thursday and no further action was required.

A Havre area caller reported a child in a car seat improperly Thursday at 8:32 a.m., and officers searched for but couldn't find the vehicle.

--

A caller at a First Street West business asked Thursday at 9:21 a.m. for officer assistance and officers opened an investigation on the incident.

--

A 9:23 a.m. Thursday caller reported finding paraphernalia in a bathroom at a First Street West business.

--

Someone stopped at the police station Thursday at 9:35 a.m. to report they had been scammed, including personal information given out, and officers investigated the incident.

--

A 15th Avenue caller reported a vehicle theft Thursday at 10:57 a.m.

--

Officers searched for but couldn't find a group of people reported at 11:06 a.m. Thursday to be drinking behind a First Street business.

--

A 12:30 p.m. Thursday caller on Third Street reported that a vehicle had backed into a car.

--

A Boulevard Avenue caller reported Thursday at 12:40 p.m. that some people were driving by repeatedly, and officers searched for but couldn't locate the individuals.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller at a First Street West caller asked Thursday at 2:35 p.m. for assistance with three people who refused to leave.

--

An officer initiated assistance helping getting a dog back through a gate on Second Street at 3:57 p.m. Thursday.

--

A possible domestic disturbance was reported on U.S. Highway 2 East at 4 p.m. Thursday, and officers, assisted by sheriff's deputies, searched for but couldn't locate the individuals.

A wallet was reported found at or near Optimist Park on Boulevard Avenue Thursday at 4:57 p.m.

--

A 5:31 p.m. Thursday caller reported losing a wallet at a Second Street ATM, and officers helped search for but could not find the wallet.

--

Officers responded to a Fifth Street caller's report of a group of unknown people in a neighbor's backyard taking things.

--

A caller on Ninth Street reported Thursday at 7:30 p.m. that a 5-year-old walked off and no one could find him, and officers helped with the search.

--

A Thursday 8:18 p.m. report of a man passed out in the First Street alley was referred to a service agency.

--

Officers searched for but couldn't find juveniles reported to be racing dirt bikes up and down a street near Havre High tennis courts at 9:55 p.m. Thursday.

--

A Second Street caller reported a group of juveniles fighting Thursday at 10:15 p.m., and officers searched for but couldn't find the individuals.

--

A Smithville Road caller reported at 12:02 a.m. today someone trying to break into their house. Officers searched for but couldn't find the individual.

--

Nicole Lynne Merrill of Havre, 38, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and improper left turn during a vehicle stop on Seventh Avenue near the viaduct at 2 a.m. today.

--

Officers responded today to a 2:20 a.m. burglar alarm at a First Street West establishment but were advised they could stand down.

--

Officers responded to five requests in the 24-hour reporting period from callers asking to speak with an officer for which services were provided or no further action was required.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies assisted at City Court at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.

A Thursday 10:53 a.m. caller reported vandalism at a Fresno Reservoir camping site.

--

Someone stopped at the sheriff's office Thursday at 12:36 p.m. asking for assistance and deputies opened an investigation.

--

A Crowe Lane caller asked Thursday at 2:32 p.m. for assistance and no further action was required.

--

Deputies assisted Havre police with a domestic disturbance reported on U.S. Highway 2 East at 4:10 p.m. Thursday.

--

Deputies assisted someone on U.S. Highway 87 at 5:31 p.m. Thursday.

--

A request from Havre police to be-on-the-lookout was received at 7:36 p.m. Thursday.

--

A Fifth Street North caller asked Thursday at 9:25 p.m. for assistance with a VIN inspection.

--

Deputies assisted Havre police at 2:03 a.m. today at the viaduct on Seventh Avenue.

A 2:38 a.m. caller today at a Box Elder establishment reported a suspicious vehicle but no further action was required.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Thursday and firefighters responded to a fire alarm on 34th Avenue West at 8:06 a.m. but no fire was found.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two 12-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, five female cats, three male cats and a 22-week-old male kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 10 weeks and 7 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd-cross dog. Additionally, five 11-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
