The Hi-Line has always been well-represented on the Little Sullivan Award list over the years, and 2024 is no exception.
Among the men's finalists for the 2024 Little Sullivan Award, announced recently, is Montana State University-Northern senior wrestler NaKoda Currier (Siegel). He was an All-American wrestler for the Lights, of head coach Tyson Thivierge, and a former standout from Colstrip.
Currier (Siegel) joins KC Buday, Great Falls, Providence wrestling; Brody Grebe, Melstone, Montana State football and Ivan Roe, Manhattan, Olympic shooting as men's finalists for the award.
The women's finalists are Shayla Montague, Billings, Montana State Billings basketball; Sydney Little Light, Crow Agency, Eastern Kentucky track and field; Katharine Berkoff, Missoula, North Carolina State swimming and Jamie Pickens, Helena, Carroll College basketball.
The award has been given out since 1955 to Montana natives who exemplify athleticism, community service, sportsmanship, amateurism and academics.
The Little Sullivan Award Banquet will be held May 4 in Billings.
