A written or verbal warning was issued after a 6:15 a.m. Wednesday caller asked officers to perform a welfare check on someone on U.S. Highway 2 West.

Officers searched for but couldn't find individuals a 7:31 a.m. Wednesday caller thought were doing drugs in the Third Street alley.

Officers performed a welfare check on Third Street after a Wednesday 7:39 a.m. call from Great Falls 911 dispatcher.

A vehicle theft was reported in the Havre area at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Brett Warren Landon of Havre, 57, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and on a charge of open container after a man with a crossbow was reported on First Street West by several callers around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers searched for but could not locate a car reported being driven all over the road Wednesday at 10:12 a.m. on Fifth Avenue.

Officers helped someone who stopped at the police station at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday asking for assistance.

--

A Fifth Avenue caller reported a man sitting in front of a residence Wednesday at 10:23 a.m. and responding officers had to take no action.

--

A cellphone was reported found at 11:37 a.m. Wednesday on Second Street.

Two summonses were issued after a fight was reported at Havre High School Wednesday at 12:57 p.m. No details on charges were made available.

Officers helped someone who stopped at the police station Wednesday at 1:07 p.m. asking to speak with an officer.

A caller near Hill County Courthouse reported a man walking around with a knife at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday. No action was required on the incident.

Someone stopped at the police station at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday asking to speak with an officer and no action was required.

Officers assisted someone who stopped at the police station Wednesday at 3:39 p.m. asking to speak with an officer.

An 18th Street West caller reported at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday that someone had forced a door open and items were missing.

A missing juvenile was reported at 3:49 p.m. Wednesday at the police station.

A First Street caller got assistance with a life alert device that was talking to the caller Wednesday at 4:05 p.m.

Officers assisted another agency on Old Post Road at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers made a vehicle stop on 11th Street West Wednesday at 4:48 p.m., and reported that this wasn't the vehicle they were looking for.

A caller at the hospital asked for assistance with a patient Wednesday at 4:53 p.m.

A Ninth Avenue caller reported a noise complaint at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday, but no action was required on the call.

A written or verbal warning was issued after officers initiated investigation of a group of people doing a burn out on SUB Drive Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.

--

A vehicle crash was reported at Sixth Street and 13th Avenue Wednesday at 9:19 p.m.

--

A 2:22 a.m. caller today on Lincoln Avenue reported a disturbance and responding officers helped resolve the incident peacefully.

--

Officers made 20 vehicle stops around the city between 6:31 p.m. Wednesday and 4:14 a.m. today, some as regular vehicle stops, but most as part of the Safety Traffic Enforcement Program, or STEP, to check and advise drivers on safety issues such as seat belts and cellphone usage.

Officers assisted with three civil standbys and served or attempted to serve several summonses in the 24-hour reporting period.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies assisted Havre police with an 8:40 a.m. Wednesday call in the First Street West alley.

Hill County Detention Center assisted Havre police Wednesday at 10:25 a.m.

--

Deputies assisted a caller at Box Elder Schools reporting a drug offense at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

--

A 12:51 p.m. Wednesday report of a malfunction at the 22nd Avenue railroad crossing was referred to BNSF Railway.

--

A caller at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday asked for assistance, but no further action was required.

--

A burglar alarm at a Box Elder establishment Wednesday at 2:33 p.m. turned out to be a false alarm.

--

A written or verbal warning was issued after a 49th Street West caller reported a complaint at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday.

--

Deputies helped an 11th Street West caller who asked Wednesday 3:05 p.m. for assistance. No action was required on the call.

--

A 4:23 p.m. Wednesday report of people from two vehicles on Laredo Road trying to put a woman in one of the cars - while the woman was fighting them - was referred to Rocky Boy Police Department.

--

A dead deer reported in the road on U.S. Highway 2 East at Bitterroot Avenue at 12:17 a.m. today was removed from the road.

--

Deputies served or attempted to serve several summonses in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to one call Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two 12-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, five female cats, three male cats and a 22-week-old male kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 10 weeks and 7 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd-cross dog. Additionally, five 11-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
