Another local standout will be competing for the Montana State University-Northern Rodeo Team.
Montana State University-Northern head rodeo coach Doug Kallenberger has announced the signing of rodeo standout Kyla Burchard to join the Skylights program next year.
Burchard is barrel racer, who also competes in goat tying, breakaway roping and team roping. Burchard attended school at Havre High, where she was a state qualifier all four years of competition.
Burchard not only was a rodeo standout but she was a high school swimmer where she was Class A All-State each year she competed. She not only got it done in sports, but she held a 3.8 grade point average and was on the Honor Roll for all four years of high school.
While Burchard is at Northern, she will be majoring in business administration and minoring in accounting. Kyla is the daughter of Travis and Michelle Burchard.
When asked why she chose Northern she replied, "I chose MSU-N because it is a great opportunity to stay local and be part of an amazing school and team."
