A staple of springtime in Havre is the MSU-Northern PRCA Extreme Bares and Broncs Challenge. And it returns to the Bigger Better Barn this weekend.
MSU-Northern head coach Doug Kallenberger is appreciative of the funds that are raised from the rodeo each year, which goes to help the MSU-N Rodeo Team.
And the Lights and Skylights are about to kick off their 2024 spring season. Northern has three Big Sky Region rodeos on the slate this spring, starting with the Montana State University Rodeo in Bozeman April 11-14. MSU-N then heads to the Miles community College Rodeo April 18-21, and wraps things up with the University of Montana Rodeo April 26-27 in Missoula.
Northern cowboys and cowgirls are striving to reach this year's College National Finals Rodeo, which will be held June 7-15 in Casper, Wyoming.
Meanwhile, the rodeo season on the Hi-Line kicks off with this weekend's MSU-Northern PRCA Extreme Bares and Broncs Challenge. The action gets going in the Bigger Better Barn Friday and Saturday starting around 7 pm. Tickets are currently on sale at Norman's Ranch and Sportswear and Western Trailer and Marine Sales for $25, while the gate price on the day of admission is $30.
