Two shot to death in Box Elder

Darin Bernard Caplette, 41, and Thomas Roderick Yallup, 42, died after being shot early Thursday morning while they were at the gas pumps at D&L Bar in Box Elder, Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross said in a press release Thursday afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene after the sheriff's office received a call at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday reporting shots had been fired.

The first deputies on the scene discovered two men had been shot at the pumps, the release said.

Both men died from the injuries sustained in the shooting after being taken to the hospital, the release said.
