Easter festivities are getting a little head start this weekend starting with the Tiber 4-H Easter Egg Hunt for children up to 9 years old Saturday.

The hunt for eggs begins at 10 a.m. at Chester City Park.

In Fort Belknap, the girls traveling basketball teams will benefit from an Easter Bingo fundraiser that begins at noon Saturday at Fort Belknap Bingo Hall, with big prizes and concessions available for players. Proceeds will go toward the teams’ expenses.

For anyone wanting an Easter Food Basket sponsored by the Salvation Army and Havre Community Food Bank for low income and families in need in the Havre area, today is the last day to sign up for an appointment to insure getting a basket, but people who make an appointment after today’s deadline can be put on a waiting list.

To make an appointment people just need to call 406-265-6411 or stop in at 328 Third St. For the application meeting, the applicant will need to bring a photo ID, Social Security card for all family members at home, proof of residence such as a power bill with the physical home address, and proof of income.
