Havre Police Department

Officers were asked Wednesday at 8:19 a.m. to perform a welfare check on Ninth Avenue.

A Wednesday 10:10 a.m. caller at a First Street business reported a shoplifting theft that occurred last week.

Officers responded to a Wednesday 10:19 a.m. report of suspicious activity on Ninth Avenue, but no further action was required.

Animal Control was informed of a loose pitbull on 10th Street West at 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, and they searched for but could not locate the animal at that time.

William Cole Murdock of Malta, 33, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served on Fifth Avenue Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.

Officers assisted someone on Smithville Road who reported a complaint at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Two summonses were issued after a Wednesday 5:21 p.m. caller reported vandalism at a First Street business. No details on charges were provided.

A Havre area caller asked Wednesday at 7:42 p.m. of their cat was at the animal shelter.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A person being held at Hill County Detention Center was transported Wednesday at 11:55 a.m. to the hospital.

Thompson Densmore St. Pierre of Havre, 34, was arrested on a parole violation at the detention center at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies assisted Rocky Boy Police Department with a pursuit at 1:08 a.m. today. Undersheriff Stan Martin said that the sheriff's office was notified that a vehicle pursuit had left Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation and entered Hill County. Deputies joined the pursuit, which ended with Rocky Boy officers detaining two people.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Wednesday and firefighters reset a fire alarm on the 10 Block of third Street West.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held three 9-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, four female cats, two male cats and a 19-week-old male kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held seven mixed-breed puppies between 7 weeks and 6 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd cross dog. Additionally, five 8-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
