Havre Police Department

A written or verbal warning for a barking dog reported at 6:46 a.m. Tuesday on Second Street.

Animal Control searched for but could not capture three large dogs reported Tuesday at 7:46 a.m. to be chasing kids on Boulevard Avenue.

A Third Street caller reported at 8:13 a.m. Tuesday finding a purse in the back of the caller's pickup truck.

A 12th Street caller reported Tuesday at 8:32 a.m. finding a dead deer in their yard, services were rendered.

Bradley Lynn Perkins of Havre, 24, was arrested on a pick up and hold order and on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and failure to carry proof of vehicle insurance after a vehicle stop on Fifth Avenue at 9:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Animal Control searched for but could not locate a deer with an arrow sticking out of it reported on Seventh Avenue near Pepin Park at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday. An online post from Havre Animal Shelter Tuesday asked people to contact Havre Police dispatch at 406-265-4361 if they see the deer.

A written or verbal warning was issued after an 11:17 a.m. Tuesday caller reported dogs running loose on Fifth Avenue and the dogs were returned to their owner on 17th Street.

A caller at the Havre City Shop reported Tuesday at 1:09 a.m. that someone had backed into the caller's vehicle.

--

An 11th Street caller reported that a black Ford Ranger was rolling down the street unoccupied at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday.

--

Officers responding to a 9:23 p.m. Tuesday disturbance on Washington Avenue resolved the incident peacefully.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller on First Street West reported two people were in a dumpster and yelling at each other at 3:59 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Two arrests were made related to a 1:11 p.m. Tuesday transport from Rocky Boy Police Department to Hill County Detention Center. No details on charges were provided in the dispatch log, but two people named as involved parties were listed in this morning's jail roster. Dai Shawn Rose Whitford was being held on a federal warrant and a Justice Court warrant, and Shawna Faye Small was being held on a City Court warrant and a District Court warrant.

Deputies made an investigation on County Road 838 Northwest on a Rural Fire District 1 fire call Tuesday at 8:59 p.m.

Gregory Alan Mapes of Havre, 73, was issued a summons on a vandalism charge after a complaint was made Tuesday at 9:23 p.m. at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

Michael Joseph Corcoran of Havre, 67, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence refused test and speeding after a vehicle stop on County Road 50 South at 12:16 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to one call Tuesday.

Firefighters reset a fire alarm during a 1 p.m. Tuesday call on Jefferson Avenue.

Firefighters responded Tuesday at 8:57 p.m. to an equipment fire on the 4500 Block of County Road 838 Northwest. Havre Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said two engines with seven personnel responded to the fire involving a skid steer, which was not being operated at the time the fire started. The skid steer was a total loss, he said, and Hill County Sheriff's Office is investigating the fire, which occurred in Rural Fire District 1. Sheriff's office personnel said this morning that the investigation is ongoing.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two cats all of unknown gender, five male cats, two female 9-month-old kittens, one female cat and a 6-month-old female kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held 10 mixed-breed puppies between 3 weeks and 25 weeks old, five female mixed-breed dogs and one male mixed-breed dog. Additionally, two 21-week-old puppies, five 4-week-old puppies and one 7-week-old puppy were being housed off-site.
