After a long layoff, but with the postseason looming, the Montana State University-Northern wrestling team is hitting its stride now.
Northern went 3-0 in Cascade Conference duals last weekend in Arizona, which gives head coach Tyson Thivierge's team much-needed momentum heading into he final week of the regular season.
In Arizona, the Lights beat Arizona Christian 38-7 with wins from Kolten Powers, Colin Silverthorn, Georgino Moraga, Justin Windauer, Devin Crawford, NaKoda Siegel, Rylin Burns and Shane Mattson.
On Saturday, MSU-N topped Vanguard University 33-19, as Moraga, Crawford, Cade Gubler, Austin Vanek, Carl Hansen and Mattson all picked up wins.
Northern finished the road trip off with its biggest win as the Lights took down No. 9 Embry-Riddle. In a dominant performance, Northern won 33-14, as Powers, Ryann Graves, Crawford, Burns, Hansen and Mattson were all victorious.
The 3-0 performance gives the Lights a 7-4 dual record as they head into their regular season finale against rival Providence Thursday night in Billings.
